Prof. Maji is Professor-in-charge of the Sunita Sanghi Centre of Ageing and Neurodegenerative Diseases (SCAN) IIT Bombay and a member of the Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering, Prof. Maji’s research focuses on various aspects of amyloids, especially those associated with human neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Prions, human cancers, etc. WRCB has provided funding for a number of Prof. Maji's studies on cutting-edge amyloid hydrogels for the treatment of diabetes and the creation of amyloid-based drug delivery materials.
