It is with great pleasure we share that Prof. Manoj Gopalkrishnan and his team have won the Startup India 2022 award for Best Startup in Life Sciences. It also won the Best Women-led Startup award, making it the only startup that won in both categories. Professor Manoj Gopalkrishnan is an Associate Professor at the Electrical Engineering department at IIT Bombay. He is also the Founder and CEO of Algorithmic Biologics Pvt. Ltd. The research project, ‘Compressed Sensing Algorithms for Group Testing of Pooled Samples’ which led to his entrepreneurial debut, was funded by WRCB’s intramural funding support in 2020 under COVID special call for proposals.
