WRCB announces its 12th call for proposals

Wadhwani Research Centre for Bioengineering (WRCB) invites concept notes under the 12th call for project proposals. IIT Bombay faculty members whose research falls under the bioengineering domain of any of the four focus areas of WRCB (e.g. Diagnostics, Therapeutics, MedTech and Synthetic Biology) are eligible to apply.

You may apply for funding under any of the four different categories and indicate which category your project falls under.

  • Category 12a: Focused on funding early-stage projects with a Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of 3 or lower, with a budget cap of INR 25L
  • Category 12b: Targeting slightly more advanced proposals with a TRL of 4 or higher with a budget cap of INR 50L.

In addition to these, we are pleased to introduce two new funding categories:

  • Category 12c: Supported through CSR funding from HiMedia Laboratories, this category will fund two proposals, each with a grant of INR 25 lakhs. Proposals must align with HiMedia’s specific areas of interest.

Category 12d: In collaboration with B.P. Enterprises, this category invites proposals for a single project with a funding cap of INR 15 lakhs. The focus for this category is the design and development of a lightweight, portable, and low-cost Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for use in combat zones and crowded public spaces.

Start date of accepting concept note: November 12th, 2024

End date of accepting concept note: EXTENDED DEADLINE: 2nd January 2024
