WRCB is pleased to share that Prof. Kasturi Saha has been honoured with the Young Applied Physicist Award at the National Physicists' Conclave, 2024 hosted by SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) and sponsored by Applied Physics Letters. She received this award in recognition of her exceptional contributions to the field of Applied Physics.

WRCB has provided support for her project titled 'Development of Nitrogen-vacancy-centre based quantum sensors for biomolecular sensing', with Prof. Siddharth Tallur and Prof. Abhijit Majumder serving as co-PIs. This project aims to achieve the detection of bio-molecules at ultra-low concentrations, down to the level of single molecules, for diagnostic applications.
