We are delighted to share that Prof. Debabrata Maiti has been elected a fellow of the Indian Academy of Sciences, Bangalore. He is a professor at the Department of Chemistry and, is associated with WRCB since 2022.

His research group works in the regioselective transformation of C-X bonds via a plethora of functionalization/defunctionalization pathways through metal-catalyzed chemical processes. WRCB funded his project ‘Biocatalysis towards industry scale synthesis of isoindolone drug derivatives’ under its 9th call for proposals. Hearty congratulations to Prof. Maiti for this great achievement!
