Job Purpose
About the centre : Wadhwani Research Centre for Bioengineering (WRCB) at IIT Bombay was set up in 2014 through a generous donation from our alumnus Dr. Romesh Wadhwani (Wadhwani Charitable Foundation). The goal of the Centre is to facilitate the highest quality translational research in bioengineering and commercialization of the research outcomes. The Centre has entered its second phase of operations in 2020 and is looking to expand its workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Handling Centre office purchases and vendor payments in ERP including checking availability of products on GeM.
- Maintaining office inventory and furnishing stock verification data to Internal Audit section
- Payment processing for consultants, honorariums etc.
- Sponsorship related invoicing, TA reimbursement, bills processing, fund transfer process in case of sponsorship, registration fees collection, honorarium and TA reimbursement to trainers.
- Attaining to technical issues in Centre office and reporting on complaint portal of IITB, follow up to get them resolved in timely manner.
- Furnishing stock verification data to Internal Audit section.
- Provide logistics support in event management, visits of WRCB guests (Making Gate pass for visitors, accommodation/lunch booking in Guest house), internal and external visitor meetings (venue, refreshments etc.).
- Maintaining Google Calendar for Conference room.
- Actively participate in other office work.
Desired Profile
- MA/M.Com/MCA/MBA OR equivalent degree OR BSc/B.A./B.Com OR equivalent degree with 2 years relevant experience
- Prior experience in a similar job profile.
- Proficiency with ERP, GEM
- Knowledge of computer applications, secretarial experience.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, proficient in English, process driven and detail-oriented.

Disclaimer: The position is contractual for a period of 1 year but renewable as per Institute’s guidelines and tenable only for the duration of the project. The selection committee may offer lower or higher designation and lower or higher salary depending upon the experience and performance of the candidate in the interview.
