About the event
Wadhwani Research Centre for Bioengineering, IIT Bombay is organizing a one-day, in-person summit on 'Low cost diagnostics for affordable healthcare' on 3rd June 2022 (Friday). Convenor of the event is Prof Siddharth Tallur (Associate Professor, Electrical Engineering; Faculty-in-charge, Wadhwani Electronics Lab (WEL)).
The goal of the event is to brainstorm with different stakeholders involved in the development of low-cost diagnostic solutions. We aim to connect academics, industry personnel, start-ups, and non-profit organisations with the IIT Bombay's bioengineering ecosystem. The event will involve a few short talks, dedicated networking and brainstorming sessions, and a panel discussion.

'Bottlenecks and potential solutions to translational innovation in low cost diagnostics'
Panel will be represented by not-for-profit foundations that work closely at the grassroot levels, venture capital firms that invest in deep tech, startups working on low cost diagnostics, industry, etc. Panel moderator is Dr Abdur Rub, CEO, WRCB.
Poster Presentation:
Poster abstracts related to the event theme are invited from IIT Bombay students for the event. Kindly submit the abstracts here.
Last date of submission of abstracts is May 13th, 2022. A Review Committee will select abstracts and its decision will be final. Registration is mandatory for poster presentation.
Student poster awards will be announced at the end of the event.

About Wadhwani Research Centre for Bioengineering
Wadhwani Research Centre for Bioengineering (WRCB) was set up to be a world-class translational research centre in bioengineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IITB). WRCB supports faculty members across various departments of IITB in undertaking breakthrough interdisciplinary translational research. The projects carried out by the faculty members associated with WRCB have resulted in several patents and spin-off companies in diverse areas ranging from diagnostics to drug discovery.
