As part of the External Fundraising Support (EFS) service, WRCB kick-started its first talk and interactive session on funding opportunities available at Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC). The event was organized jointly with the Society for Innovation & Entrepreneurship (SINE), IIT Bombay. The speakers, Dr. Sonali Tandon (Chief Manager, Investment, BIRAC) and Dr. Prachi Kaushik (Manager, Investment, BIRAC), shared valuable insights on the scope, funding, evaluation criteria, and other aspects of various BIRAC grant programs to support innovation and product development at different stages by both academic innovators and start-ups. Around 100 attendees received detailed information on eligibility, expected TRLs, the quantum of available funds, the evaluation processes, and insights into writing grants from the speakers. Active interaction with the speakers followed the session.
