The first CAP members’ exclusive event was held on 19th January 2018 to facilitate industry-academia interaction. During the first half of the day, 10-minute introductions and research pitch slots were given to CAP members and WRCB-associated IIT Bombay faculty. This was followed up with 30-minute long ‘research speed dating’ slots organized based on a match of interest to meet between both. These one-on-one meetings were well received by both sides and many pointed out that these were very useful. One of the highlights of the event was the signing of WRCB’s first industry-funded project between Pulse Pharma and Prof. Wangikar. This was welcomed as a start to many more such projects sponsored by the industry.
